It was meant to be...

At the beginning there was the taste of the childhood jams. Those made by mother and my grandmas, following untiringly the same recipe, always doing the same skilled moves. The tastings on the sly, quickly direct from the pot, or on huge slices of bread. Then came the joyful family summer picking during the holidays, when the weather is hot and the time is going slow… I don’t know why but for me, all the memories always takes place during summer time...

Untiringly, always in the same order, strawberries time, blackberries, cherries, peaches, nectarines, or figs my favorites…

Then, came my turn to act and to discover in a new light these family rituals. It never stopped… To pick, to try, to taste, to share, to offer, to imagine… Later being fortunate walking on beautiful orchards in bloom, then in fruits, made the will to build something with all this, to share this universe, so personal and in the meantime so universal… So, La Petite Cueillette is born.

With patience, the orchard becomes jam.

Even if the recipe is simple and universal La Petite Cueillette jams would be nothing without the others actors. Without the passionates cultivators and growers, no good and beautiful fruits. Without this fruit, no jam. That’s why La Petite Cueillette takes good care to choose its troop! They speak respect of the environment, biodiversity, and fruits are handpicked at perfect maturity.

Once they’re picked, the fruits are prepared with care and without waiting any longer to save the maximum of savors. After macerating in blond sugar, sometimes with spices or flowers, they will be slowly stewed under constant monitoring. Stewed in a caldron, in small quantities to save the fruits and his savor, the jam La Petite Cueillette are dyes and preservatives free but contains lots and lots of Love! ♥
